Hello fans, Today, I will be telling you the difference between Velocity and Speed. They both are similar but one thing is different but because of one thing they have one difference. But to understand this concept we have to go back and see the difference between distance and displacement. Alright Distance is the measurement of length and it is km and Displacement is the same thing so what is the difference? Well distance is the area covered in any direction whereas, displacement is the area covered in a specific direction. Distance is a Scalar Quantity and Displacement is a vector. I must tell you the difference between Vector and Scalar quantities. Scalar quantites have only magnitude (size) but no direction but vector quantites have both. So that is why I classified Distance into Scalar and Displacement into Vector. Hence, Velocity is Displacement upon time and Speed is Distance upon time. Velocity is a vector quantity and Speed is a Scalar quantity. Speed in a straight line is called Velocity.
